I have a business plan approved by the above named city to open a recycling business focusing on aluminum, brass and copper. There is no facility currently in this city, it is a college town and it would provide the community a convenient way to turn in these materials for cash in a struggling economy as well as keeping the environment cleaner. We currently have a demolition business that also salvages these type metals so it would be a sound investment for both companies to profit from. I also submitted my business plan to the state for possible grants and was contacted the next day. Unfortunately due to the qualifications being required to obtain any of the grants thru the State of Illinois were for mbi status and I am not going to be registered as an owner for prospective business and the other being required to handle other forms of recycling materials such as cardboard, paper, plastics ect. and this is not likely to be productive nor lucrative for the current business plan.
