Description:
Skubes is designed to become the Internet's top provider for educational videos and interactive books for children in kindergarten through the 12th grade. Skubes is taking all the lessons taught from kindergarten through the twelfth grade and putting them on video, where they are taught by an actual teacher and broken into short three to fifteen minute segments. The initial videos, available in English, will cover math, science and language arts. The videos will be accessible through the Internet and can be watched via a computer, tablet, smart phone or Apple TV. The iBooks, which include math videos, are now available for purchase through the iBook store and viewable on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. In the very near future, we will also provide interactive worksheets, tests, and learning games for our customers. Our goal is to bring education up to speed with 2014 technology and for Skubes to become the primary online source for parents and students to find help for "all things educational".
Our primary reason for raising money is due to an offer from Microsoft to build us into their new education rollout in August 2014. They will be spending 4 billion worldwide on this rollout and we will be one of only 10 new education companies included. Microsoft will also be spending millions on promoting us. This is all complimentary, Skubes will not owe Microsoft a penny in return. Microsoft is also providing us with 300k in free cloud server services as well as support for our apps on their new Windows 9. We have signed and have agreed to be included in the education rollout for 3 years. Essentially they are taking our small local company and putting it instantly on a big stage. We believe this will not only increase profits greatly but will bring us to the forefront of larger companies who maybe interested in buying us out. The money will be used to increase the speed at which we add 20 major updates to the site and finish up our apps, which will be cross platform functional. This is a grand opportunity that any small business would be lucky to have and we want to take full advantage of it, especially in the early months of the release when we will be seen by millions of potential customers, including school systems the US, who Microsoft is targeting directly.
