I've been maufacturing handmade surfboards in small quantities since I was 15. I'm 53 now and want to do this for a living. My surfboards are "wall hanger" quality and I am involved with a network of craftsmen that have as much experience as I do. I have a professional designer who is a partner, and many ideas about how to grow a surf company. Companies like Quicksilver, Hobie, Lost, Rusty, and many more started as Surfboard companies and dovetailed into the lucrative surfwear and related clothing industries.
