Sharkstopper, LLC is the worlds first and only acoustic shark repellent system. The company is multi-patented and trademarked. Sharkstopper has successfully repelled over 20 different species of sharks including, Great White, Bull, Tiger, Hammerhead, Caribbean Reef, Lemon, Sand and Black Tip.
Our first product is a lightweight ankle worn device that emits a patented acoustical signal that repels sharks. This device would be applicable to, surfers, divers, swimmers, water skiers, kite boarders, tri-athletes, snorkelers, etc.
Sharkstopper’s marketing firm has quantified this market at an estimated 8 million strong. We only counted frequent users in the above number. Frequency is measured by users who engage in their respective activity 10+ times a year.
The second product that Sharkstopper plans to introduce is a shark repellent for the commercial fishing industry. A commercial fisherman loses between 20 –30% of their catch due to sharks each and every time they go out. Worldwide, this industry loses annually approximately 50 Billion dollars due to sharks attacking their catch.
