Description:
This letter was very well received. We need $10M to build the infrastructure to deliver on orders we know are in the market place in excess of $25M. We were told upon this level of funding and generating sales and presenting a healthy sales funnel we would be a viable candidate for additional private placement funding as well as a public offering. Dear Mr. McCormick:
I would like to take this opportunity to further discuss with you the opportunity to arrange funding for the Florida Company I introduced to you in our first meeting. I have begun to discuss this technology with people in the Retail Industry and there seems to be a high level of interest in increasing sales growth in all stores.
With print advertising having less impact everyday given the dawning of the internet, retailers have been even more dependent on television advertising. The problem is the diminishing returns being realized due to the broad spectrum of cable television channels available to the consumer.
My research suggests the market is moving from bricks to clicks with more consumers coming “on-line” everyday, globally. Operational Issues include high employee turnover, therefore high SG&A expenses. This translates to poor customer satisfaction, brings down revenue per transaction which in turn delivers lower earnings per share to Wall St.
Gartner, Frost & Sullivan and Forrester have written lengthy reports identifying the gap between manufacturers and the consumers. They all say the same thing as it relates to the solution: The investment needs to be made at the Retailer locations to inform the public as to the discounts being afforded to the Retailer which translates to discounts from the Retailers and savings for the customers and comes full-circle to drive sales for the Manufacturers and Retailers.
Our product can address these issues wherein we can provide a portal for training, advertising and improve service at the retail location. We can help the Company send a consistent message to its Associates and Customers, globally. More importantly, we now can target the consumer at the marketplace and give the consumer the opportunity to communicate back to the Company. Our software captures the data garnered from each touch screen interaction.
This provides the Company and their Advertising Executives real demographic information as to the consumers likes and dislikes. Also, as the Company deploys the touch screens across their enterprise they are effectively building a network of portals that can be used to capture information as well as advertise sales, new lines of product or advertise another manufacturer’s product for which they otherwise may only be a distributor. This creates the opportunity for these touch screens to be a profit center for the Company. The demographic info will drive the sales of advertising space.
I have a couple of Retail Companies in mind where if we deployed 1500 units and each one had an ROI of $10,000 a month, the company would have an additional $15 Million to there monthly bottom line. This is a very conservative number given conversations we have had with advertising executives. We believe we can help increase sales.
The screens are capable of Blue Tooth© transmission as well whereby the Company can push a coupon to a potential customer to compel them to by NOW. Credit card transactions can be facilitated securely via the touch screen even when the facility is closed. This also allows brochures to be passed forth for future review when the prospective customer is on the run and not able to engage a floor Sales Associate.
Lastly, touch screen technology is relatively new to technologists. As for Main St., it is brand new. However, the future will make them more prevalent as Bill Gates has recently predicted. Please see a couple of references to his comments below:
Bill Gates Says Company Is Pushing Touch Screens And Speech To Replace Keyboards - PITTSBURGH, Feb. 22, 2008 - (AP) People will increasingly interact with computers using speech or touch screens rather than keyboards, Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates says.
”It’s one of the big bets we’re making,” he said during the final stop of a farewell tour before he withdraws from the company’s daily operations in July.
Our interests are in the Commercial Applications that this technology will enhance. We expect to deploy these screens through the Retail Sector globally. We have the relationships in place for the distribution with companies selling to the Top Retailers globally, the telecommunications carriers to transport the data, the fulfillment company to ship and install the units, the clearing house for the credit card transactions and the software company to leverage the raw data to create the very valuable Demographics Report.
We are effectively going to bring network television and internet advertising to the streets where people are voting with their feet and their wallet.
Please contact me to discuss the details further.
Thank-you!
