Description: As a Photographer, I take pride in being the one to be there, capturing the essence of someones moment in life. My passion grew out of watching my daughter develop as a figure skater from the moment she stepped on the ice, to this very day. It was nurished by the many parents that would often come to me saying I took fantastic pictures with my little Handycam, and urged me to try it professionally. Thanks to all the skaters whom I spend my days around and thier parents, I have found my calling. I am a Member of USFSA (US Figure Skating Association) along with my daughter who competes competitively in U.S. Figure Skating in Solo events and on the World circut with Theatre on Ice. I have the distinct honor of being the Official Photographer of the Houston Starz Theatre on Ice team and Affiliate Photographer of the Aerodrome Willowbrook in Houston, Texas. This business is built on the support and encouragement of everyday people encouraging success out of what was nothing. My desire today is to further develop not only my skills as an Action/Sports/Event/Family Photographer, but to also build the business into one of the premier Action/Event photography services not just locally, regionally, not even nationally, but upon the World stage. I travel and cover National and World Figure Skating events, Hockey games and tournaments, Pop Warner/Jr. High/High School football games, baseball, basketball, Vintage Car shows, the occasional wedding, and even on the rarest of (URL removed) NFL game. With the Action & Sports area covered, I have begun the move to add a long held passion of Vintage era photography (I.E. WW II Nose Cone Art recreations, Vintage Pin-up, Rockabilly Kitsch, Rockabilly Family portraits). It is a lightly touched area with little to no competition within the area of portrait photography and the best part of that is, it is a FAST growing demand for all things retro from the 40's & 50's, even the 60's. I am also working in conjunction with another Photographer, two Burlesque groups (one from Texas the other from New York), and various business owners deeply involved in Breast Cancer research charities to develop a calendar and Burlesque Revue tour to raise money for the Susan B. Komen foundation. Estimated earnings for the first year of this endeavour: $5-8 Million dollars. In 2011, BKC Action Photography plans to also add a service to disadvantaged families that otherwise can not afford family photos, let alone any professional level portraits. I want to reach out as much as I can to the communities to lift up and, if but for a moment in time, place a smile upon the faces of those families. A cherished memory most of us take for granted hanging upon our walls. My hope and passion is to be the one that will share in capturing "The Essence of Your Moments." for years to come.
