Description:
SGU Film was formed in March 2009 to begin it's first production titled IN THE BELT.
IN THE BELT is a quirky dark comedy. Cord Phillips, a middle aged man, leads an unfulfilling life of mediocrity in the southern United States. He’s visited by a redneck friend, who proposes to rob a local bowling alley. In an act of desperation, to get his family and himself a better life, Cord decides to participate.
The robbery is a massive failure, causing a vigilante Sheriff to pursue Cord in the midst of disgruntled townsfolk. Cord's family must pull together and overcome the ruthlessness of the law, as well as the individuals in the community that seek their own reparations.
