Hastings, Nebraska is starving for a quality bar and grill. I currently work in a franchise grill and bar and would like to bring some of those aspects to the community of Hastings. Hastings is a small community but draws a good deal of business from the southeast tier of the state as well. Hastings is also in need of growth. With the Softball Complex within our city limits, and 3 area high schools and Hastings College and a community college, I envision a sports bar atmosphere, which is more than just putting up a television and calling yourself a sports bar. I also expect the food to be delivered fast, not just fast food, it has to be quality food at a quality price. I have several ideas and have the abilities and have acquired the skills for this undertaking but, lack the financial means to begin such a project. I can see this bar and grill being the place in which everyone in Hastings and the surrounding area wants to go to for good fun, good food, and good service. I would like to see the leakage of people seeking these qualities stop going to outside communities and start seeking them right in our own community. The local Chamber of Commerce has done numerous studies resulting in the local citizens of Hastings crying out for more eating establishments. But, to no avail, has anyone yet been able to provide the citizens with this. With the right plan in place, and the good food, fun and service as I mentioned above, this endeavor could provide a very lucrative business to the person or persons who choose to take a chance on Hastings, Nebraska and myself.
