FirePASS proactive fire prevention solution works by providing effluent ventilation of the protected facility with hypoxic (oxygen reduced) air produced by FirePASS hypoxic generators from ambient air. This creates a comfortable human-breathable atmosphere inside a facility, in which nothing can ignite or burn. We maintain the atmosphere between 15-16% oxygen which corresponds in partial pressure of oxygen to the altitude of 8,000' or the same partial pressure oxygen environment that is created in the cabin of commercial airplanes. It is completely safe for people and even provides unique health benefits.
Our technology can be deployed in data centers, bunkers, record management, electrical rooms or storage facilities. A great feature about our technology is that it can scale to accommodate any size environments whether your facility is 1000 cubic or 1,000,000 cubic ft or even a whole building. Another great benefit of our technology is that we can create a sterile environment, free from dust, chemical, biological and nuclear warfare agents. Also our technology slows down the degradation rate of the contents that are stored in our environments because we maintain the environment at a lower oxygen concentration, and well all know that oxygen is the main cause of deterioration.
Our competitive advantages over the current fire suppression systems are many. Our solution is the only one that is proactive! Unlike the handful of other fire suppression solutions that take several minutes before releasing some sort of gas in the environment, a lot of damage can be done in the several minutes. Products such as FM-200 or Novec 1230(Sapphire) by products when they come in contact with flame are very dangerous not only for humans but for computer and electronic equipment as well. One of the byproducts is Hydrogen Fluoride, which is a chemical warfare agent and it damages all the electronic equipment that it comes in contact with. Also there is downtime associated with the fire suppression system for the tanks to be refilled and not to mention the cost of the agent as well they have issues with accidentally discharging.
