We bought a 2 BR 2 BA vacation rental home with a bonus room and detached garage near Yosemite in 2004. The house sits on 1.5 acres. After mixed results, and a broken water line in the ceiling caused extensive damage, we elected to put the property on the market. The house has been completely restored, and is essentially brand new on the inside. It also has been freshly painted. Given the current state of the CA housing market, it may be better to keep the house, with investors to share the expenses. The house would be managed by a professional propety management firm in the area, and marketed as a full time rental, with proceeds shared among investors.
