Driving School for the hearing impaired people.
In view of my work within the deaf community, i would like to extend my skills by becoming a driving instructor for the Deaf and hard of hearing, as many of these are socially isolated and find it hard to pass driving tests due to communication difficulties. There is a national shortage of driving instructors for the deaf and even fewer instructor who are deaf themselves and for whom sign language is their first language. I could help to fill this gap in the market and enable deaf people the same access to driving, and hence independence, as hearing people.
Driving is now accepted as a life skill.
