Description:
Sound Pass (URL removed)
(URL removed) will be a social networking site; what makes it different from all the rest is i will be be based around several different users taking their turns at creating and completing a music track.
How it will work. I(consumer) would create an account and log in. once in, i would have the the option on my home page to do things like any other social networking website (add friends, pictures, comment on friends pages, receive/send messages from user to user, ect). but it will also have a section dedicated to creating music. using a database of sounds and instruments the user will be able to create one track of a 4-5 track song. they will have the option to start a new song (using only one track) or editing a friends or random users incomplete songs.
Songs will be rated by users, and users will be rated by users. so if you suck. you go down in the tiers. making you have access to lower leveled users songs. the more higher ratings you get from other users the more you rise up. being able to add on to any song. It will make it kind of like a game. giving the user the incentive to come back and do better. very quickly there will be very good songs popping up all over the site.
there will be a radio station after a few months of songs that people have made. they will have "clicked yes" in the disclaimer giving us all the rights to these tracks. so these songs wont leave the website, this will create an in closed music community, making it unique.
and if someone tries to take a song off the site for profit. assuming we catch them, there can be good money in there as well.
the interface would kind of look like a a normal social networking website. with a sound station area where they can manipulate songs, kind of like a small version of ableton or fruity loops.
When this picks up music company's would offer to design sounds and virtual instruments. because they would have free advertisment. so the teens will go buy all the real versions in real life because now everyone is interested in music. everyone in interested in being a rockstar or dj with these new games out. this would just bring it to the creating level(which isnt really offered to teens yet) on the internet.
