A grassroots movement to save and preserve a local 85-year-old historical landmark. That happens to be the lifeline to a historic WV dying railroad town. This is the only interstate low water bridge in the country. It is owned by a private owner, controlled by MD but serves both MD and WV as an important crossing over the Potomac River. Due to gross mismanagement and greed, the bridge is at the cusp of total loss.
One goal is to fight to make the bridge a registered historical landmark, see it is restored, and bring needed commerce back to our town. In doing so it will save our community and bring back a badly needed general store. In doing this, attracting tourism, both winter, and summer. Bring better housing and in turn, make sure the bridge is preserved for the future.
