As stated in the February 2008 Issue of California Apparel News, women are the fastest-growing segment of the sporting industry customer base. And during the recent Super Bowl, women buyers accounted for more than 20% of the sales of jerseys, T-Shirts, bags and other items. Sales of women’s NFL merchandise have been increasing by double-digit percentages for the past five years, according to the league.
