Description: Vision: AFRCF vision is to provide prescription and solutions through one stop African Female Reintegration and Transition Centre for the African female caged in a cruel bondage (marginalised, traumatized, dehumanized, deprogrammed, victimised, crutched with infirmities, challenged with emotional, psychological and physical traumas) caused by incomprehensible events. From victims to Victoria. Mission: AFRCF mission for African Female through families, communities and states is to: (i) establish lasting effective reintegration and resettlement solution for ex-female offenders; (ii) denounce incitement to hatred, violence, persecution and rejection against her, and same sex female; (iii) reinforce campaign, prevention and protection for vulnerable female children against Incest, Sex Abused and Neglect; (vi) keep bra-less, pad-less and pant-less girls in school; and (v) call on the states to: fulfil their obligations and exert pressure in engaging in an open, mutual constructive protection and prevention against multiple discrimination, violence, dehumanization and abuse towards the “African Female”. a) Ex-female Offenders This is an innovative program. The ex-female offenders in Africa are tormented with major barriers and restrictions in post-incarceration. There are no re-entry processes for their transition and reintegration. They are tormented with ex-communication, stigmatization, discrimination and rejection from their families, communities and society. The experiences of family breakdowns, rejection, raped while incarcerated, unwanted children, traumas, lack of access to basics, homeless, cannot afford health facilities and counselling, Identity Cards lost, misplaced and snatched, the psychological effect of imprisonment after their incarceration are insurmountable. How can she ran away from herself? So many unanswered questions within. This cruelty and bitterness relapses into recidivism, forming gangsters and or joining existing terror groups which are seemingly welcoming environments, fresh crimes, drug trafficking, illegal illicit and murder: Since she is stripped off all her rights to live a normal life, she has no choice but to become a hard core, bitter outlaw and a security risk to the community and the nation. It is impossible to trace them due to lack of computerised records for inmates and after release. End results - increased orphans, abduction and insecurity in the African states and yet the governments are note tackling the root causes. “Insecurity and poverty are major issues facing the continent of Africa”. KEEPING GIRLS IN SCHOOL PAD + PANT+ BRA =EDUCATION- KEEP GIRLS IN SCHOOL? Believe it or not, for a puberty- girl in Africa, this equation holds: Pad+Pant+Bra=education If you have ever had a need or made an emergency trip to the nearest shop to buy menstrual pads or tampons.... think about what it would be like if there was no means to buy or afford them except turn to cow’s dung, banana fibre/leaves, rags, newspapers, pieces of old clothes, blankets, tree leaves, corn husks, basically anything that can possibly do the job, and many times nothing at all than be isolated in a grass thatched room, perceived as a taboo and hence denied schooling opportunity. It is a reality, millions are suffering it in Africa, they are kept from school, and hence TOO EARLY TO BE A MOTHER and TOO LATE TO BE A STUDENT!! It costs €250 to keep one girl in school for a whole year. The cost includes logistics (distribution of menstrual pads, car hire for transportation, storage), advocacy, community and school participation, meals, soaps, menstrual pads, pants, bras and full uniform. AFRCF currently is taking care of 3,600 girls. Therefore, AFRCF seeks €900,000 per annum to maintain 3,600 girls in school in Central, East and Horn of Africa Regions.
