Description:
World Inter-Med, Inc. is a start-up California corporation offering proprietary EMR/EHR (electronic
medical/healthcare records) technology that dramatically improves the functionality and
performance of medical record use and management for insurance companies (insurers),
providers (physicians) and members (patients). World Inter-Med's core cloud solution solves a
number of immediate problems in the medical records market by significantly boosting
performance and accessibility without jeopardizing security or the need for costly specialized
hardware and software to the insurer, provider and member.
As of January 2013 there were 315 million “patients” in America, and only 1 million physicians.
Keeping track of their histories is a monumental task, and many physicians have turned to the
Electronic Medical/Healthcare Record, (EMR/EHR) a computerized list of everything from
allergies to addresses, to keep up. However, despite being a huge improvement from paper
records, the EMR/EHR is in desperate need of a graphic and technological overhaul. Physicians
often don’t have time to sort through dozens of printouts before examining a patient, and even
if they did, the record might not be comprehensive or up to date. There is no standard system
nationwide.
World Inter-Med intends to "disrupt" and upend our competition’s current business models. World
Inter-Med has developed a methodology and system that unifies, collates and communicates a
complete chronologic healthcare record that assists the consulting physician in ordering tests,
consults and prescriptions within the insurance network. At the same time our system will
assemble all the necessary information to file an electronic claim to the patient’s insurance
company – at a single tap of the screen. This will vastly reduce physician time sorting through
records and test results while increasing efficiency and reducing fraud from non-existent
treatment.
