Description:
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER THE INFANT BROADBAND MARKET IN SOUTH AFRICA. Siyavuyisa Wireless IT Solutions, is a 100% women owned company, focusing on empowerment of women and the youth in ICT. Siyavuyisa will operate as a next generation Wireless ISP (Internet Service Provider), providing connectivity to the World Wide Web through a new, and revolutionary technology known as Wireless Mesh Networks. (See explanation below under Technology)
We will set a new trend in connecting the Previously Excluded from First World technology, by installing a Wireless Mesh Network, creating a “Cloud” for connectivity (much like a WiFi Hot spot but on a larger scale), while it’s easily scalable and expandable to ensure continuous seamless, phased roll-out to other areas. The Community can connect to this Cloud with any Wi-Fi enabled Cell phone or laptop to the network. They can also make low cost VoIP calls over the network.
This will be the first fully wireless integrated system implemented in townships in South Africa. On the Wireless Network we will deliver simultaneous Video, Voice and Data connectivity to private and business customers in the townships, thus we will be able to serve large areas and last mile users with a 24/7/365 broadband access.
To only bring connectivity to the townships does not serve a purpose, as majority of residents do not have computers. Due to the “lack of end user devices” in the townships, the fear of the unknown, and the lack of familiarity on how to use the Internet, we will set up IT Hubs with computers, photo copiers, scanners, laminators, binders, fax machines, courier services, and a typist as well as a projector for Adult Education Training Programs, workshops, seminars and video training courses. As there are some residents, already familiar with technology at work and demand the same at home, our Wi-Fi hot zones will enable these residents to connect to the network with their own devices.
We will teach unemployed women previously not exposed to computers and connectivity to the WWW, free introductory computer skills. The woman will also sell the value added services, earning an income, to create employment as well as stimulate entrepreneurship. The women will become trainers, to teach other residents in their own language, how to use the services thus creating and expanding our customer base.
