DIY Auto Hobby Shop will provide do-it-yourselfers and local hobbyists with a state-of-the-art facility in which to work on their own automobiles. From basic repairs and tire rotations to major overhauls and vehicle detailing, the Company’s convenient shop location will rent working bays with tools, and will have a retail store on site for the purchase of parts. In addition to drive-in bays with hydraulic lifts, customers can wash their cars, rebuild engines, and do other maintainance themselves while saving money. DIY Auto Hobby Shop will have certified auto technicians on hand for those who need advice, we also provide free access to vehicle repair data and recall history.
DIY Auto Hobby will open in a high-traffic location, just off of I-95, in Jacksonville, Florida to take advantage of both local consumers and tourist traffic. Revenue will be generated by:
• Hourly rental of working bay and tools
• Special equipment use (tire changer, etc.)
• Sublease of retail space for parts store
• Ad sale space online and in retail location
• Annual membership fee
The Company will sponsor or host community events put on by local car and motorcycle clubs and offer its space as a meeting venue for such organizations. These awareness building maneuvers will build brand recognition within the target market. The Company will seek strategic partnerships with such entities as AAA and local tow truck operators. It will seek presence on AAA’s list of recommended facilities, as well as offer incentives to tow truck operators in exchange for their agreeing to bring stranded vehicles to DIY Auto Hobby Shop. These partnerships will propagate brand awareness throughout the community. DIY Auto Hobby Shop will franchise within 3 years.
