Description: 25 years ago, Cable Television revolutionized the way consumers purchased premium content on television by bundling programming and providing a single point of connection. In the past decade, there has been a similar phenomenon in the Satellite radio market. iLogon’s mission is to bring this concept to the Internet. There are currently over 250 million Internet users in North America, and over 25 million of these users are paying for premium content and services on the web. The market for users paying for content on the web is currently over $2.5 billon, with anticipated growth to over $5 billion by 2011. (Online Publishers Association) There are several key problems with the current premium content market that iLogon will solve. There is no standard for authentication or central management tool. The list below details the issues iLogon will resolve. • No standard for single sign-on or unified management, users must create accounts and remember passwords for multiple sites • No central tool or site to manage premium (fee based sites), many users pay for a subscription to a site and forget how to navigate back to the site • Users have to connect to each site directly to access their premium content and services • Premium content and services are difficult to find and manage • No bundled (value) pricing for signing up for multiple sites iLogon brings a single portal to Internet users to connect and create a customizable “package” of premium content and services where they can enter their credit card number once, with one monthly billing at a value price, and one place to logon and access this content.
