Description: Our business is Archie's of Lee. We have been in operation for one year in this unstable economy. We are the only restaurant in this small quaint north Florida town. I opened in December of 2007 and have been here longer than any other business owner in the past 7-10 years, even though the economy is uncertain. The community has accepted and embraced us and begs us to stay even though they know it has not been easy. We are open seven days a week, one evening to serve prime rib and have a great Sunday buffet. I have five employees and myself working. My husband helps when he is not at his full time and overtime position with a local power plant (32 years). I feel we have only began to develope what we could provide to this area/community and that there is great potential for growth. However we are limited due to cash flow. I made improvements to this building which I lease and want to recoup those investments and grow the business even when many say this is not a great time for small businesses. We have an optimal location on a main state highway and county road crossroad with the interstate access four miles away. This an extremely busy intersection and we are the only food business here. I have been recently advised we are in an enterprise zone and are also eligible for employees that I train who are paid through state funding. I am committed to my staff, to remaining here and the growth of our operation. I am asking for assistance to buy or lease equipment, pay bills and have some operating capital. $10,000 to $20,000 would help provide the boost we need to move forward. I could offer our daily sales to repay any amount received. Thank you for your consideration of our request. We still believe in entreprenureship and the American Dream. Sincerely, Sue
