I am looking to start a bead store in the Dayton area. I currently work for a large chain craft store and noticed the need for a new kind of beading/jewelry making store. I have researched the area and there are only two beading stores in the area that are not chains that specialize in exotic beads only. After speaking with numerous patrons about their wants I believe there is a tremendous opportunity for a store that specializes in exotic beads, domestic beads and offers mass produced beads that you find in the chain stores. I would also offer classes in jewelry making and design. This is the fasted growing area in the crafting industry and is indicated by the top department sales each day in my store.
