Description:
Ehrenkrook Entertainment produces feature films that address divisive contemporary issues from a Christian perspective.
FASTER - Most independent Christian production companies make one feature every two years. We are going to quadruple that rate.
CHEAPER - Of the top 20 all-time worst films based on ROI, every one had a budget in excess of $10million. Our highest budget is $700,000.
BETTER - Through the judicious application of emerging technology we can meet, and in some cases exceed, the visual and audio standards that audiences have come to expect from a theatrical experience.
Financing Sought: An investment of $3,150,000 is requested. Total production costs are $1.7 million, $1 million set aside for distribution and marketing, and $300,000 to cover studio overhead.
Business Description: Ehrenkrook Entertainment has been established to produce movie films that address divisive cultural issues from a Christian perspective. Nearly all Christian film companies produce films that either give the gospel message or are merely geared toward entertaining children. When the company first started it had absolutely no budget, no industry experience, no contacts, and a completely volunteer workforce. To date, the company has earned distribution rights, has gained film industry experience, and a few contacts after the release of their first movie “Wait Your Turn”. The company is now at a stage to expand and is applying their resources toward a slate of four feature films, to be produced over a two year period.
Unique Value Proposition: Ehrenkrook Films is dedicated to making quality feature films with the smallest budget possible by utilizing volunteers and donations to their fullest which ensures a larger profit margin than films with bigger budgets. Ehrenkrook Films is also slated to produce four feature films in two years when most Christian production companies produce only one feature film in two years.
Sales/Marketing: Most independent film producers barely plan for enough contingency funds to cover the cost of production, let alone post-production. Ehrenkrook Films budgets for all five phases of production to ensure completion and maximum efficiency. The company endeavors to have a representative at every major film market and trade show. Ehrenkrook Films will host project specific websites as well as a corporate web presence. Each of the project specific websites will have production blogs, information on cast and crew, promotional material and a synopsis. Every film focuses on at least one social issue. By leveraging contacts with the numerous non-profit organizations and associations that champion the specific causes/themes of each film, Ehrenkrook Films acquires an established advocate in the marketplace and a potential partner for home theater and non-theatrical sales.
Key Success Factors:
-Ehrenkrook Films enlists the talents of some of the best Christian graphic artists and web designers.
-Each film will have a soundtrack worthy of theatrical release.
-Highest resolution coupled with highest quality optics and an experienced cinematographer ensures that each film will exceed the visual benchmarks of its competitors.
Key Risk Factors:
-Competition between established Christian production companies
-Other Christian film companies that are either non-profit or operate outside established distribution channel.
-Of the top twenty Christian films of all time, only three were profitable (all but two had budgets over $1million).
Important Milestone:
-Company is a registered LLC in the state of Ohio.
-Management team is established.
-Ehrenkrook Entertainment has succeeded in making a quality production film while operating on a tight budget.
-Plans will include highest caliber audio, visual, and marketing techniques.
-Website has been created and is functioning.
-Each film has been written in a different genre and addresses a unique divisive cultural issue to minimize risk if one genre or one issue does not connect with the audience.
