I am currently attempting to raise capital for a restaurant idea in Hamburg, Germany. I have 15+ years of hospitality experience (Orlando/Tampa), including several years in management. I moved to Hamburg from Tampa, Florida over a year ago, and am amazed at the tremendous opportunities here in the food service industry. There is a giant gap in the market for restaurants that serve innovative and creative cuisine coupled with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Unlike most places in the US, the food service industry in Hamburg (and Germany in general) is not feeling the effects of the financial crisis, not to mention Hamburg is the wealthiest city in Germany. I have also developed an idea that for the US market, that is based on a concept that is very popular here and not available in the US yet.
