Local Hospitality LLC is the Managing Partner of a new restaurant in Los Angeles (working title The Local). Local Hospitality is seeking investors for this restaurant.
The Local, a first time venture from Chef Carl van Dekker, will introduce Los Angeles to a new trend in fine dining, our update on the traditional Gastro-Pub: presenting perfectly executed ‘New American’ dishes, concentrating on seasonal, local ingredients in an atmosphere stripped of old pretensions.
Understanding that dining out, from food to service to atmosphere, is entertainment, we work off what we like to call the ‘Hedonistic Approach’ to food, whereby we seek to eliminate everything that can clutter or obscure the pleasure our guests find in great food, warm service and an inviting atmosphere, leaving behind the simple pleasures of an evening out with friends. That is why we base our menu on the best local and seasonal produce available, because it allows us to present our customer with the most flavorful dishes at the best price. It is why we’ve chosen not to use tablecloths; we’ve chosen to put our efforts into caring for our guests, not folding the laundry. The idea is to build a restaurant in which profitability is based more on the quality of experience provided than any artificial hype, allowing us to consistently bring back a loyal customer base while continuing to attract new guests.
