Description:
In 2015 my dad was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer my daughter (Jori Blu) who was at the time 9 years old wanted to do something to make money to help my dad pay for treatment in hopes that he would survive. She came up with the idea to make Bathbombs and handmade soaps so we did. It has taken quite sometime to master the manufacturing process but I think we are finally there. We did not make the money we needed to save my dad's life though so on November 21 2016 at 3:10am my hero became my guardian angel. It was the most heart wrenching experience I had ever gone through and thank God I never will again but with that in mind we decided also that all the Bathbombs we sell we were going to donate a percentage to the charity of the month for example March is Multiple Myeloma awareness month so we donate the percentage to the multiple myeloma research foundation, October Breast cancer and so on. We also have a cancer ribbon soap that sells pretty good. Anyway Jori Blu Baths was just a little thing started in the kitchen of a tiny two bedroom apartment and in about 3 years we've gotten pretty well known around town as well as the eBay community and as bath bombs are becoming more and more popular we are becoming busier and busier. We do make a profit but not enough to do exactly what I know we can and hopefully someday should be doing. We want to open a small store, a small family based business and still donate a percentage to the cancer of the month but unlike the bigger more popular stores like Lush cosmetics for example, we want to also show people (mother's, daughters, dad's, grandma's, whoever) how to make Bathbombs like a class type setting (we could also do birthday party's, bridal shower spa types, etc) I know I would be very successful at this as well because I have people ask me all the time if I teach classes anyway with the price of citric acid and it's unavailability to purchase in local markets I know people would still buy from our store and come to our classes mainly for fun. Anyway bath bombs are starting to be sold more and more in stores but still nothing like our bath bombs. We use the freshest ingredients and only 100% pure mica pigment for coloring, it does make the brightest most beautiful colors. We have a few local salon owners that purchase from us regularly as well as our regulars around town who keep telling me we need to open a store somewhere. We even have customers in other states we ship to on a regular basis. I know we would be amazing in a store if we were given an opportunity to do so. We also have a little slogan which is (URL removed)i Blu Baths & Co. Too Glam to give a damn..... It's kinda catchy and cute, plus it gives us that diva type look which is always very popular.
