Description:
Bio~Wood Products of Minnesota (henceforth to be referred to as BWP) as proposed will be an environmentally conscious full service wood recycling company that will produce a wide selection of bio-diverse products derived from wood waste. This wood waste is in the form of used, and/or broken pallets, crates, misc. wood by products and tree slash that would have been destined to take up valuable space in our local landfills. Our recycling services will provide an alternative to landfilling wood waste for many businesses that are striving to achieve a “green” production flow. These companies are aware of their carbon footprints and wish to work towards a negative imprint on the environment. Another great advantage to recycling wood waste with us will be the reduction in the consumption of our standing forests here in Minnesota.
BWP will provide two critical needs in our community:
* We will offer a cost effective and environmentally sound alternative to the disposal ofour clientsʼ wood waste.
* We will produce 100% recycled products that are of high quality and demand.
At BWP we know that wood is an incredibly valuable renewable resource and through a process of grinding this wood waste, we will have the ability to produce three highly marketable products.
*Bio~Mulch: Our brand name for the landscaping mulch produced.
*Bio~Bedding: Our brand name for a high quality animal bedding specifically marketed to equestrian/boarding facilities and training barns.
*Bio~Fuel: Our own line of bio mass fuel created from the wood waste that is customizable depending on the needs of the particular energy plant it will be delivered to.
Through extensive research conducted by BWP, we have found that 17% of solid waste taken to landfills is that of wood waste. There are 28 landfills within a 100 mile radius of our location and we have the ability to divert the majority of that wood waste from those landfills by offering custom grinding, custom wood waste removal and a roll off service in the future. This research also established that we are the only wood recycling company West of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. In essence the wood waste recycling market in our area is untapped.
1. The unlimited growth potential and a high rate of return.
2. The lack of local direct competitors.
3. The ability to move on short notice to a disaster area and immediately participate in clean up operations.
