I run my consulting business to help small business make technology work for them. As their business is small it is easy to keep up with the business part. As they grow and become successful, the accounting, filing taxes, inventory, Sales, Invoicing, analysis becomes overwhelming.
While searching for clients I found an eCommerce site related to backyard chickens. The owners want to sell majority share and go back to just being excited about chickens. They started in 2006, have $3.5 million in annual sales. They are held back by technology currently. A new website, subscription services and a better mobile presence will double sales ($7 million) in the first year. Shark Tank reached out to them to appear they were not interested. They have many A-Listers as clients and fancy chicken breeds, diapers and leashes. I cannot share much more without an NDA.
