Description:
I've been a residential builder since 1987. Due to the recent recession we decided to build a home for ourselves in order to keep productive between paying jobs. The design of the home is something I've been working on in the back of my mind since the oil embargos in the late seventies and early eighties. Now with the latest push to go green. This home seemed like its time had come. The home is very conservative on gas consumption, it heats and cools very easily and inexpensively.
The electricity it uses is like any other home. I live in Michigan so using solar panels to suppliment our electrical needs is not a good option. While researching wind turbines I discovered that they are too expensive to pay for themselves... EVER! So I began researching the possibility of building my own turbine and discovered that the methods of connecting to the grid are extremely difficult and using batteries to store excess energy is expensive.
That's when it hit me! Why not store the energy as heat? Then use it to heat homes, domestic hot water, even swimming pools. Farmers could heat work shops, dairy barns, etc. The country side is dotted with outdoor wood furnaces that are terribly inefficient, these wind turbines could replace those and more. The use of wind to create heat has been totally over looked.
I need an investor to help me get this idea off the ground. I have done some of the research already and the project seems feasible right now. I'm at the point where I need to build scale models and do some field testing in the process of producing a prototype. When the design has been proven we can work on mass production and sales.
Is there anyone out there who can help me?
