I am currently seeking investors interested in working with me on the development of a new resort property that would sit on one end of Castle Rock Golf and Recreation, a public golf course only minutes from Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia. This property is in an outstanding location with the New River, a quality and active paddling and fishing river on one side and a high dollar neighborhood on the other all surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. A quiet and relaxing area that seems remote, yet is close enough to the City of Roanoke, Roanoke Airport, Radford University and Interstates 77 and 81.
A full-service, independent resort with some suites that can be booked as extended stays for visiting university professors, alumni and professionals. While the resort itself is family friendly and focuses on the outdoor adventurist and those seeking a healthy, re-energizing getaway.
I am working closely with the County Administrator, Chris McKlarney on the plans and have the full support of the county to see this happen. The county has offered the land on the golf course as well as road and water improvements. For the right investor, we may even be able to take over the golf course itself which would be of great value for expansion and marketing as well as overall value.
