I'm currently working with an engineering group called Focus out in Silicon Valley on developing on IEDS (Impact Electrical Detection System) or known as "Early Warning Helmet Sensor". Its sole purpose will be to help players in contact sports reacting to the surrounding of possible incoming impact. Goal would be to improve the security of players and continue the growth of population in contact sports, while reduce the percentage of injuries occurring to the players of concussions and below knees injuries.
Currently we are in midway of developing two different devices. One, it will be a periscope concept that apply to high school level and below, it's efficiently and cheap-wise for parents of the players to boost the protection and other device will be a combination of hardware and software with bluetooth/RF with options of those followings; audio, visual, and kinetic or all sensors. This would be applied to next level, mainly professional levels.
