Rojo on April 16, 1990 in order to participate in the global effort to care for Mother Earth. VISION & MISSION The foundation’s primary goals are: 1. To undertake projects that can sustainably preserve all endangered species of flora and fauna 2. Educational campaign / advocacy for promotion of Organic Farming in the Agricultural Sector through: a. recycling, segregation and re-use of all kinds of wastes b. no-burning-policy of all kinds of organic matterials in the farms which contributes to global-warming and depletion of our ozone layer c. promotion of biological fertilizer-use to replace synthetic ammonium and nitrate fertilizers which pollute our underground water system, release methane and toxic carbon gases in the atmosphere, enhance plankton and algal growth which dissolve the oxygen in our waters and eventually kill fishes as well as other useful organisms in our rivers, lakes, seas and oceans d. Conduct of public information dessimination, sustained educational campaign and training seminars for promotion of vermi-composting as an efficient, economical and sustainable type of agriculture method and practice 3. Maintenance of food chain for ecological balance and for win-win and sustainable co- existence of all living things in our Ecosystem. FIRST PROJECT IMPLEMENTED Two months after UPFPI was founded, it became a recipient of a contract/award in the amount of One Million Pesos (P1,000,000.00) from DENR, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. The said amount was very tightly utilized for the successful implementation of a 50–hectare Reforestation Project at Barangay Gawahon, Victorias City, Negros Occidental. This meager One Million Peso-funding from DENR’s Loan II package from Asian Development Bank – Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund of Japan (ADB-OECF) was able to convert a former denuded watershed-area into a Man-Made Forest. The 125,000 full-grown trees are presently flourishing along Sicaba River which divides the two cities of Victorias and Cadiz, Negros Occidental. The said area had been proclaimed by the Provincial Government as part of its North Negros Forest Reserve (NNFR) in 1995. The 18-year old trees had been valued at more than One Billion Pesos by Dr. Rodel Lasco, Dean of College of Forestry of the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) in 2005. In the same year, Alberto R. Ozone Layer Ozone layer's further degradation and depletion is brought about by man's long-term use of fossil fuels as energy sources, burnig of garbage, agricultural wastes, indescriminate disposal of household hazardous wastes such; copact fluorescent lamps (CFL), all types of batteries, paints, chemicals etc. long term use of Ammonium and Nitrate fertilizers, air and water pollutions of cluorofluorocabons and heacy metals cadmium, arsenic, lead, cyanide, etc. indescriminate drilling of geothermal plants and oil exploration, seismic surveys and extraction which displaced the original structure of the eart's crust and mantle, unplanned construction of water dams, unwise disruption of the global water, mineral, macro and micro minerals, nutrients and trace elements and global food supply by the unsustainable utilization of feedstocks for bio-ethanol by the untapping of biomass feedstocks (cellulosic bioethanol) using garden wastes, water lilies, switch grasses and other materials that are carbon, lignin and phenol rich readily-available and almost no-cost materials everywhere around the globe, slow and insufficient initiatives and thrusts from governments of the world to develop, biogas from plant and animal wastes. Effective Liquid and Solid Waste Management (ELSWM) Only through effective liquid and solid waste management (ELSWM) and utilization of solar energy, atmospherIc and oceanic gas hydrogen as alternative energy sources can man ultimately manage well its environment to complete sustainability. The entire earth is composed of 78.3% nitrogen. with 98% of the 77.3 % or around 75.754 % of it is trapped inside rocks. Pulverization of the rocks by lichens (symbioses of a fungus and an alga) which began 1.5 billion years ago weatehered the rocks by 1 to 1.5 centimeters every 2,000 years (too slow) are causing these rocks to give off or breathe nitrogen which are eventually blown by the wind to fertilize the earth. Through pulverization of the rocks and scattering them all over the surfaces of the Earth, Agriculture will no longer use synthetic nitrogen thus, will redound to no or minimal weeds-growth, fertile soil, no more malnutrition, no more further air and water pollution, global warming, and global initiative and education advocacy for wastes re-use, recycling and return to supplier (3Rs) of plastic wastes shall flourish. Composting (household & commercial) and vermicomposting will become a habit of every human being not only for survival but also for regenerating and regaining of the Lost Paradise (theme of Genesis) by a concerted effort to construct our new "Paradise Earth" where plants grow by itself without rain, without use of pesticide and herbicide, no more war, no more famine, no more racial descrimination, no more greedy commercialism, no more or minimal false religion, inclusion of Effective Liquid and Solid Waste Management (ELSWM), Geomancy, Paramagteism, ECO-AGRICULTURE AND BIO-DYNAMIC & AGRO-ECOLOGICAL FARMING to replace the conventional method of farming, as subjects in all Educational courses, banning of synthetic ammonium and nitrate manufacturing of fertilizer, pesticed and herbicide -use. Commercial or lobal-scale production of rock crushers with pulverizers which can grind all the rocks into dust preferably at leats 800 mesh or 90% finer than 0.1 mm in size and made available to all farmers around the globe at cheap prices. Remineralizing our Mother Earth is the ultimate solution to all our present-day problems around the Globe. Pulverized rocks are magnets of extreme cosmic radiation emitted by sun's ultra-violet rays which can no longer be filtered by our already depleted ozone layer. Powdered rocks are also crystalline forms that reflects heat bac to space protecting our soil from extreme heat. At nighttime rhe powders sweat to give plants their sufficient moisture for growth which can withstand any longest drought.
