My father owns a Wholesale/Retail/Internet Seafood business that has been in business for over 30 years. He is approaching 70 years of age and wants me to buy his thriving business. After establising a preence on the internet four years ago, his sales have doubled to over $3.5M with solid growth of 40% year over year. I am a sales rep with a large company and have a great deal of management experience running a territory with a quota of almost $7M annually. I am looking for a $2M business loan to buy my father out. This amount is less than the value of the assets and inventory alone. I estimate the value of his business at well over $4M. However, his goal is to keep it in the family and I intend to keep the existing staff in place and improve operations implementing new productivity tools
