Description:
In 2008 I began a non-profit orgranization assisting pregnant/single mothers, and thier children with the provisions of food and clothing donations, furniture, and housing location. I have initiated the launch of a progam taylored to give these women the tools needed to be successful and independant. I have done everything myself from its creation to its launch in 2009.
With limited finds available, I formed the corporation, wrote my own bylaws, and created my own web site. I also did my own marketing and case management. Additionally,I used my own cash and childrens clothing, furniture, etc., to begin the process of assiting these women in need.
With limited resources and no assistance, I have helped dozens of young women and children in the Atlanta, Georgia area in their quest. This adventure has sparked a passion inside of me, and I have continued on every since.
My husband and I are parents of three little ones on our own, and when my husband lost his job, we had no choice but to leave Georgia, and pick up the pace in the California job market.
I have continued to receive requests for assistance, however, due to lack of funding, have been forced to put it on the back burner and work my day job. I
would love nothing more than to turn this passion into an every day existance. I've continued to expand on my ideas to create opportunities for fundraising/profitibility, and am just needing a little more capital to have this project launch into full throddle.
I have about 9k saved, but am looking for an investor to contribute a little more to assist with the formation of the legal operations (501 c-3), open a real location, and initiate my ideas to thier fullest capability.
