Description: Against Tradition Productions (ATP) is putting together a festival to keep more farms from banks in central Illinois. Best in Entertainment and Country Metal Music have teamed up with us in this venture. There will be a variety of music and food. We will turn this into an annual event that will grow in size and we are looking for some partners and sponsors to get this project going, as it will be huge in the future and getting in now starts the relationship. Our plan is to start 2009 on Apr 24-26 with a 4 - 7,000 fan show on 6 acres with 6 more for parking and camping with additional parking space available at a neighbor’s pasture ¾ of a mile down the road. Over the years we can expand to more acreage as needed. The location of the venue is perfect for such an event as it is an hour and a half south of Chicago, 4 miles off of I-57 an hour north of Champaign on state route 45 with Peoria to the west and Indianapolis to the east with Perdue University in between. Kankakee, Springfield, Decatur, Danville and Pontiac are all within an hour an a half as well, as are others, plus all of the farm towns in between (and many of these kids are not allowed to go to the city for a concert). There is a map with a target area included. The layout of the venue itself is a farm that has a ¼ mile long lane that can accommodate 2 semis in passing with ample turn space and an indoor loading dock. There is 24,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space housed within five buildings with a 3 room office area that can be used for production. Three phone lines run into this office and there are phones and a fax machine on site.
