Description: The Company: Paradigm Solar is a California based company in the business of providing alternative energy solutions for our clients. We design, install and maintain solar collectors that can be combined with existing mature technologies to produce electricity. What sets us apart from everyone else is our collector size. They are a fraction of the size that one would find in Daggett or Kramer Junction, and doesn't require the large scale infrastructure. Because of this our product can be installed in almost any location. Because the sun’s heat provides energy required; locations where there is more sunshine are better suited as potential locations. For perspective, our sun farms work well in all 50 states in the US where cloud cover does not exceed 50% of the days in a given month. The Product: Thermal Collector: Our collector is unique in its ability to heat air which is then pumped into our heat storage unit to heat the medium inside. The use of a tracking mechanism ensures that the collector array panels will provide the maximum amount of thermal energy throughout the day. Heat Storage System: Our heat storage system enables the capture of the sun’s heat to be stored for future use. This ability to capture and store “free” heat energy from the sun and to make it available 24 hours a day makes extremely affordable electricity available to everyone. Because of this benefit sun farms can be installed within the areas already occupied by other energy producing or transmitting sites, such as Wind Farms, PV Cells, Geothermal, Waste Heat, or CNG at existing utility transmission right-of-ways. Status of the Organization: Presently a consulting contract is in place with an entity based in Colorado to supply both parabolic troughs and the thermal heat storage unit for their installed units. This consist of 341 units within the state of California with a revenue between $32M-$35M for Paradigm Solar. A large scale manufacturing solution has been developed and is ready for implementation. Currently Paradigm Solar has been working a series of organizations that are very interested in the system integration of both technologies in the same field on a larger scale: 9MW (550+ parabolic troughs 15-20 heat storage systems), 22MW (1050+ parabolic troughs 25-40 heat storage systems) and a 75MW (3550+ parabolic troughs 55-65 heat storage systems). With three additional request recently within the state of California in the deserts.
