Description:
Malcap Mortgage was formed in Jan 2005 and started with 4 loan officers brokering mortgage loans to different wholesale lenders that conducted business in the State of Tennessee. Over the next couple of years, Malcap expanded twice into larger spaces due to significant growth, as well as, obtained mortgage licenses in multiple states. In 2006, Malcap moved into the current space capable of housing up to 50 loan originators.
In Oct of 2008, Malcap closed its first correspondent loan with Bank of America, and then added Franklin American Mortgage Corporation as its second correspondent investor. This growth led to the first nomination to the Inc. 500 list, coming in at #430 in the fastest growing privately held companies in the US. With continued success, Malcap Mortgage has been in the Inc. 500 each of the last two years. In 2010 John Miller (Co-Founder/CMO) was nominated as Nashville City Paper's Entrepreneur of the Year.
Malcap Mortgage, LLC has been a BBB Accredited business since December 2005. This means Malcap supports BBB's services to the public and meets their BBB Accreditation standards. Based on BBB files, Malcap Mortgage, LLC has a BBB Rating of A+ on a scale from A+ to F. The grade represents BBB's degree of confidence that the business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer concerns.
As Malcap Mortgage matured and learned of the many benefits of mortgage banking versus mortgage brokering, the company decided to pursue an initiative to grow to a full service mortgage banking firm. As a banking firm, Malcap has investor relations with more than 3 different large banks. With that, comes the ability to underwrite loans internally and give our clients a smoother loan process from start to finish. In the real estate arena, contract dates and deadlines are extremely important and having the ownership of underwriting and lending directly makes it easier to meet those important dates.
