Description: I am 59 years old and paralyzed from the neck down. I have been in the home construction business for 35 years, I have been paralyzed and working from a wheelchair for the past 20 years. I have built homes, churches, and small commercial buildings in my building career so I know my way around a construction site. I quit building in 2008 before the bottom fell out of housing. Most of the houses we built were 2 or 3 story so I designed and built a couple of lifts for my wheelchair on trailers that we could leave on the job site and or move from job to job if needed. My crew would use the lifts to lift material to the second floors or the roofs jobs, but most of all they wanted to borrow them to pull their 4 wheelers to the deer woods and then use the lift for a deer stand. I also liked to camp so I designed and built an electric folding deck and ramp for my camper that could easily be deployed when we got to the campsite. I like to go boating so I designed a telescoping ramp for my pontoon boat that fit beneath the deck between the pontoons. All of these could probably be used to start a small business on their own, but these are not the products that I want to manufacture if I find the right partner for this venture. The new product I have designed is for hunting, fishing, camping and boating by everyone. I can build the prototype, I can build or lease a building for the manufacturing of the product. I would like to build most or all of the product here in the United States but if needed some of it could be subbed to Chinese manufacturing.
